Pakistan: Three killed as gunmen attack passenger coaches in Lower Kurram

PESHAWAR, (Dawn): Unknown assailants opened fire on two passenger coaches in the Kurram tribal region’s Charkhel area on Monday killing three people, including two women, and injuring six others, DawnNews reported.


Government sources said the coaches were targeted when they were on their way from Parachinar to Peshawar.

The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital. Some of the injured were reported to be in critical conditions.

Sources told DawnNews that the death toll from the incident may rise.
